The Zimmermann Outlet Settles Into The Studio

The luxury brand’s sleek swimwear and summer statement pieces are majorly discounted here.

Australia’s one and only Zimmermann Outlet recently relocated all of 50 metres around the corner.

It’s now found at a new site known as, The Studio.

The multi-level outlet, that could easily be mistaken as a retail store, houses Zimmermann’s past collections. Visitors will find swim and resort wear, shoes, accessories and the brand’s super high-end ‘ready to wear’ collection. 

Is it worth a visit? Definitely. Especially if you’re looking for evening wear.

Upon entry to The Studio you’ll find some new arrivals to the outlet store. 

During our visit in February 2017, the new arrivals predominantly consisted of casual and resort wear. We’re talking the 2016 summer range, discounted at 40 – 70% off, not bad at all!

Venture a little further in and find the 2016 swimwear range at up to 80% off!

When it comes to a full price Zimmermann bather top or bottom, you’re usually looking at $100 per piece. At the outlet most bather tops go for $35, and bottoms just a touch under at $30.

Here’s a word of warning– Zimmermann’s swim collection is brilliant for A – C cups, any bigger and you won’t have much luck. 

There was a small rack of Zimmermann’s kids range, but it’s not enough to warrant the journey there.  

If you’re looking for formalwear for the races, a school formal or something a little more ‘runway’, continue up the stairs.

While the shoe collection isn’t extensive, you might just strike gold in fine jewellery and accessories cabinet. 

The real discounted treasures however, are hanging beyond. 

There are multiple rows of racks with fashion grouped by collection. The most recent collections are towards the front but if you head to the back window you’ll find the oldest and most discounted outfits, which are still stunning.

If you’re on the hunt for a unique ready-to-wear piece that once retailed for over $2000, you can expect to pay 50 – 80% off RRP.

Timeless dresses that once were $450 now hang for $89! 

There are plenty of change rooms both upstairs and down with mirrors inside each room, meaning you don’t have to bare all in public when trying on swimwear.

We’ve read reports of unfriendly staff online, but we found the girls to be quite friendly and chatty. Not the intimitating types you can sometimes experience in their retail stores.

We came out empty-handed on this occasion but next time we need to get race or wedding ready, this will be one of our first stops.
